About the event
In this 60-minute sustainable nutrition workshop, you'll learn more about the pros and cons of plant-based diets, including their health benefits, practical aspects, and potential challenges. This includes a deeper look into how plant-based diets can provide complete proteins (essential amino acids), essential vitamins including vitamin A, C, D, B vitamins, particularly folic acid and B12, calcium, iron and omega-3s. We'll also examine how plant-based diets can contribute to a healthy lifestyle in weight management, blood sugar regulation, digestion and gut health, lipid management, and heart health. This workshop will also cover an overview of the roles that plant-based diets play in reducing the carbon footprint and the impact these have on the environment.
